AEASP 2021 Scholar Lauren Godwin

Lauren Godwin is a Junior at Spelman College studying Economics with a minor in Mathematics. Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Lauren sits on the Board of Directors for the Power of Girlhood, a non-profit organization for self-esteem and expression in youth girls. In the Atlanta University Center, Lauren is a very active member of the community. As a member of the PULSE Programming Board, she plans campus events and concerts. She is a campus ambassador and a member of the Spelman Economics Club. As a scholar, she is a member of the Spelman College Honors Program, Alpha Lambda Delta Honors Society, The National Society of Leadership and Success, and is a new inductee into Omicron Delta Epsilon International Honors Society. In her spare time, Lauren performs as a member of Spelman’s Contemporary Popular Music Ensemble. She hopes to continue her education to earn a PhD in Economics.
