AEASP 2022 Fellow Beza Afework

Beza Afework is an economics Ph.D. student at Howard University in Washington, DC. She completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Addis Ababa University and her master's degree in Economics, Summa cum laude, from Howard University. She specializes in Growth and development and has worked at the International Food Policy research institute (IFPRI) as a summer data analyst, where she gained valuable experience in her field of specialization. She aspires to pursue a career as a Developmental economist and contribute to designing comprehensive and relevant policies to curb poverty in underdeveloped countries.
