Deborah Partey is a junior at the University of Nevada, Reno. She is pursuing Economics and minoring in Mathematics. Originally from Takoradi, Ghana, she moved to the United States when she was a baby so her father could continue his education. Watching her father, earn his Ph.D. in Hydrogeochemistry, and her mother earn an M.S. in Finance and Economics, Deborah was inspired to achieve highly in academia. She is currently doing research with Dr. Todd Sorensen on why the male college enrollment rate has decreased. In her free time, Deborah enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
