Helen Vasquez Ramos is a sophomore Economics and Mathematics double major at Fairfield University. Originally from Guatemala, Helen has a particular interest in development economics, economic policy, and behavioral economics. She would like to create economically sound and effective policies that truly help people develop their communities using their own resources in a sustainable way, while addressing issues like extreme poverty, food insecurity, and lack of infrastructure and quality education. She is currently working on a project that aims to determine the motives behind donating by understanding what type of messaging is more effective in recruiting donations with Caroline House, a non-profit organization located in Bridgeport, CT. In her free time, Helen enjoys traveling, listening to music, and spending time with loved ones.
