Kaythari Maw

Kaythari Maw is a first-year master's student at Cornell University pursuing an MS in Regional Science with a concentration in Urban and Regional Economics. She graduated from Barnard College in 2021 with an economics major. Kaythari, or Kay, is currently President of the Cornell Regional Science Student Association and the Cornell Myanmar Students Association, respectively. She is also a recipient of Cornell University's Southeast Asia Program's Foreign Language Area Studies (FLAS) Fellowship, which supports her studies on the Burmese language and Myanmar studies. Kaythari is passionate about Southeast Asian American spatial migration and economic welfare. Her mission is to promote the disaggregation of data and research on Southeast Asian Americans, as well as to contribute to research on Myanmar/ Burmese Americans.
