AEASP 2022 Scholar Myles Owens

Myles Owens

Myles Owens is a rising first-year doctoral student of economics. He graduated cum laude from Loyola University New Orleans in the spring of 2022. While at Loyola he participated in student government, was a member of the Omicron Delta Epsilon economics honors society, and was very active in faith-based organizations on campus. Myles will continue his education at George Mason University. Myles is also a Mercatus PhD fellow at the Mercatus Center. His research interest includes development, economic history, and political economy. In his free time, Myles likes to spend his time outdoors running, biking, and playing spikeball. He hopes to complete his first full marathon in the fall of 2022.
