I am currently a Ph.D. student in the Department of Economics at Howard University. I have a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and a Master’s of Science in Agricultural Economics from Kansas State University, were I was the first African American female to graduate from the program. I’ve worked for the federal government for over 14 years. My current research of interest is Health Economics. Upon completion of the Ph.D. program, I plan to become a professor within the Department of Economics at a Historically Black College and University (HBCU).
