My name is Angel Baikakedi. I am from Gaborone, Botswana, and I am a Junior Economics major at Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington. My interest in economics is fueled by the desire to contribute to sustainable and equitable economic development in my country. In the long run, I plan to go to graduate school, focusing on development economics and public policy.
Outside of school, I work in the economics department as a research assistant and tutor in economics courses. I am involved with the African Student Association, the Women in Economics Club, and the international students club on campus. Additionally, I enjoy watching TV shows, listening to music, and baking.
