AEASP 2023 Scholar Christina Klas

Christina Klas

Christina Klas is a rising junior at the University of New Mexico pursuing a double major in Economics and German. She is an enthusiastic participant in the Honors College, World Affairs Delegation, and Economics Club as well as an officer for the German Club. Christina spent the past semester working on a water sustainability fellowship focused on policy interventions associated with efficient water consumption. However, she is most interested in investigating the economic implications of widescale immigration, having grown up in New Mexico with an immigrant parent and observing the impacts of migration abroad. Apart from school, Christina enjoys reading, skiing, swimming, and working part-time at a local law firm. She is honored to participate in the AEA summer program this year.
