AEASP 2023 Scholar Lamia Haque

Lamia Haque

Originally from Queens in New York City, Lamia Haque is in the Class of 2025 at Williams College. She is also a recipient of the New York Times College Scholarship. Lamia is double majoring in English and Economics with interests in South Asian storytelling and developmental economics. She is also a member of Williams' Residential Life Team, Firsts Student Union, and South Asian Student Association. Lamia is passionate about creating opportunities and carving spaces for FGLI students on campus and educating people about the impacts of ongoing poverty in South Asia. She hopes to pursue research regarding the health consequences of South Asian poverty to share with policy creators.
