AEASP 2024 Scholar Rithika Iyengar

Rithika Iyengar (she/her) is a sophomore at Rice University majoring in Mathematical Economic Analysis and Social Policy Analysis, with a minor in Poverty, Justice, and Human Capabilities. Rithika has a specific interest in using economic reasoning and interdisciplinary methods to drive policy, especially in an international context. She is particularly fascinated by development economics, gender, and poverty studies. Outside the classroom, Rithika values applying her mixed-methods skills and policy interests in her leadership positions at the Baker Institute Student Forum, and as a current Community Bridges Fellow at Rice. In her free time, she enjoys dancing, listening to music, and spending time with friends and family.
