AEASP 2025 Scholar Adin Hammond

Adin Hammond

Adin Hammond is a recent graduate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.S. in Economics and a B.A. in Mathematics.

Her academic and professional journey is rooted in her motivation to understand how economic forces can shape individual life trajectories, particularly those of marginalized communities. Raised by a single father living below the poverty line, she learned early on about the weight of the decisions made with scarce resources. These experiences drive her commitment to studying health economics and the role of behavior in determining health and human capital outcomes. Upon the completion of her Bachelor's degree, she plans to work in a predoctoral role at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. Later, she intends to enroll in a Ph.D. program in Economics. Her current research interests include health economics and economics of education, with a focus on higher education.

In her free time, she enjoys staying active, crocheting, trying new hairstyles, and baking new recipes.
