AEASP 2025 Scholar Clinton Kaboni

Hi, I am Clinton Kaboni, a Senior at Thompson Rivers University in Canada, in the Bachelor of Business Administration program with a major in economics. I am an Indigenous student with hopes to achieve a PhD in Economics. The area of research I would like to pursue is applied microeconomics, specifically economic development in Indigenous communities. I am currently working on projects regarding Indigenous data sovereignty and the missing and murdered women crisis in Canada. I am passionate about helping push this area of research and, one day, improving the standard of living in Indigenous communities. I love quantitative research, statistics, and applying economic theory. Besides academics, I love to play basketball, lacrosse, soccer, and rock climbing. And I love talking ball.
