AEASP 2025 Scholar Jada Joshua

Jada J. Joshua is a junior at Spelman College pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and minoring in Food Studies. After interning at the Schmidt Family Foundation, an impact investing firm, Jada went on to study at the University of California, Berkeley. There she worked on analyzing the economic effects of a state-wide agricultural policy. On campus, Jada serves as Chief of Staff for the Student Government Association and Sergeant-at-Arms for the Epsilon Eta chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Incorporated. Jada follows her passions, volunteering to keep books for her local cooking club and helping out with the garden on campus. In the long term, Jada looks forward to getting her doctorate in Agricultural Economics to pursue green agricultural impact investing with a focus on racial equity. Her research interests focus on how agriculture impacts economies and individuals, to inform policy around sustainability and efficiency.
