AEASP 2025 Scholar Raven Shaw

Raven Shaw is an Honors Economics major, Political Science and Mathematics double minor from San Francisco, CA. Raven seeks to work within the government or NGOs, using her research to develop and implement public policies that drive equitable economic reform, particularly for marginalized communities. She aims to contribute to the conversation on reimagining Black economic resiliency and be part of the movement that merges innovation, wealth, and sustainability to transform Black communities worldwide. Raven's passion for research, strong work ethic, and lived experiences made her eager to pursue a social sciences curriculum and continue contributing to and learning from Howard University. Being a student at Howard University and a member of the inaugural cohort of the Humanities and Social Sciences Scholars program has allowed Raven to achieve a crucial step toward realizing her goals to become a woman who advocates for others to build a more equitable future.
