AEASP 2025 Scholar Seth Meyer

Seth is a current Master's student in Economics at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee (UWM). He has worked in the fields of banking and finance for ten years, with a special focus on regulatory compliance and fraud, before deciding to return to school to continue his education. With a strong background in Mathematics, he is preparing for future PhD studies in Economics, with the end goal of applying his knowledge and experience as a government economic consultant.
Understanding and communicating the story of the data is the first step towards solving problems large and small, and Seth's concurrent studies in Data Science at UWM are preparing him to do just that. Seth aspires to reduce social inequity and injustice through his work, aiding in the development of equitable and just laws and meaningful social programs. A lifelong learner, he enjoys playing piano and guitar, as well as studying French.
