Department of Economics and HUEDAA Recognition Ceremony

The Department of Economics and the Howard University Economics Department Alumni Association (HUEDAA) will host a virtual recognition ceremony on Thursday, April 23, 2020, at 7:00 pm. This virtual meeting will be held in lieu of our annual Omicron Delta Epsilon spring dinner-lecture.

Because of the COVID-19 Pandemic, this virtual meeting will be held in lieu of our annual Omicron Delta Epsilon spring dinner-lecture.

This year’s guest speaker is our alumnus Dr. Nicholas Hill, who earned an M.A. degree in Economics in 2002. He is a native of Canton, MS, and Professor and Dean of the School of Business at Claflin University in Orangeburg, SC. He is also the founder and owner of John Nicholas Consulting Group, LLC, a group that provides realistic, accurate, and replicable analytic consulting for all academic, business, and governmental needs.

The Department of Economics and the Howard University Economics Department Alumni Association will again honor the service of the late Dr. Jean Louis Bocage and Dr. Joseph R. Houchins to the Department of Economics and Howard University. We will continue to fund both endowed funds through your generous contributions, and we invite you to participate in this effort by contributing a minimum of $25.00. Funds are used to support student travel grants, senior recognition awards, and other HUEDAA initiatives.
