Manny graduated from UC Berkeley in 2020 with a degree in Economics and Ethnic Studies with a minor in Demography. During his time at Berkeley, he served as Underrepresented Minorities in Econ’s External Vice President and was involved in multiple organizations on campus. He took on positions such as an Experience Berkeley Highschool Coordinator, and an (under)Graduate Student Instructor for the Economics department where he won the Outstanding GSI award in Spring 2020.

Bryan Anderson is a recent graduate of Florida A&M University (FAMU), where he earned bachelor’s degrees in Industrial Engineering and Economics. Lauren Godwin is a Junior at Spelman College studying Economics with a minor in Mathematics. Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Lauren sits on the Board of Directors for the Power of Girlhood, a non-profit organization for self-esteem and expression in youth girls. In the Atlanta University Center, Lauren is a very active member of the community. As a member of the PULSE Programming Board, she plans campus events and concerts.

Patrick Edwards is a third-year honors student in economics with minors in sociology and mathematics at RochesterInstitute of Technology. His research interests lie at the intersection of economics and sociology, including labor economics and stratification economics. To further explore these interests, Patrick plans to study abroad this fall at OxfordUniversity to complete his minor in sociology and learn more about economic applications in sociological issues. Upon graduation, Patrick hopes to pursue a post-bacc opportunity prior to applying to PhD programs in Economics.

Vanessa Goris is a Belgian- and Venezuelan-American in her second year at Emory University, where she is pursuing a double degree in Computer Science/Mathematics and Economics. Originally from Atlanta, GA, she spent her formative years in Milwaukee, WI before returning to her home state for her undergraduate studies.
