Quynh Nguyen graduated from Haverford College in 2021 where she studied economics. During her time in college, she did macroeconomic research at Haverford as well as social policy research at the Lauder Institute of the University of Pennsylvania. She is originally from Poland but moved to Philadelphia with her sister at the age of 16. Quynh is currently working as a research assistant to Dr. Burdekin, she is passionate about socioeconomic mobility research and hopes to pursue a Ph.D. in the near future.

My name is Roxana Gonzalez and I will be graduating in the spring of 2022 from the University of Tennessee (UT) with an Economics major and an Information Sciences minor. I am currently an undergraduate Research Assistant at UT, a role which I have thoroughly enjoyed. I also work on the weekends at a Korean Barbecue. Alberto E. Valcárcel, born and raised in Puerto Rico, is currently pursuing a master's degree in economics at the University of Puerto Rico Rio Piedras campus. His research explores the effects of oil supply and demand and other exogenous shocks, such as monetary policy shocks, on the island's economic growth. Along with fellow classmates, he has collaborated in the foundation of the first American Statistical Association student chapter in Puerto Rico to spark interest in statistical and economic research in younger generations.
